Job Overview:

The Water Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the productivity and operation of the Water Maintenance team at Leslie’s. This position is responsible for providing Clean, Safe, Beautiful water to our customers through exceptional customer service. The Water Maintenance Manager is customer-facing and is expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and to maintain our high standard of customer care. This position is based at Leslie’s Corporate office and has full responsibility for Water Maintenance team operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for revenue and profitability of the Water Maintenance department

  • Is a key relationship manager for Water Maintenance customers.

  • Manages day to day operational activities of Water Maintenance team.

  • Ensures the Water Maintenance team receives proper training and development of skill sets.

  • Responsible to hire, reward, recognize, discipline, or terminate Water Maintenance team associates

  • Resolves escalated customer complaints / issues.

  • Ensures optimization of workload and routing.

  • Research and updates product and labor pricing to ensure profitable margins.

  • Collaborates with supply chain partners to ensure the use of pro grade products when ordering supplies.

  • Utilizing company systems (software) to track jobs from initiation through completion and invoicing.

  • Owns the overall Water Maintenance business for Leslie’s.

  • Quickly and clearly communicates internally and with customers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; college preferred

  • 1-year managerial experience preferred

  • Previous experience in a service industry is a plus

  • Must possess strong pool care knowledge from time spent in pool maintenance or pool industry

  • Familiarity with pool service language and equipment required

  • Previous scheduling, dispatching, and service management experience preferred

  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report

  • Valid license, 3 years verifiable driving history and clean driving record

  • High proficiency with emailing, instant messaging, and various electronic devices and applications for effective communication/information sharing

  • Must be able to type and use customer relationship management systems and mobile applications

  • Excellent team player with a commitment to company values

  • Ability to grow while managing

  • Ability to develop an increase in revenue through Selling / Upselling the Value-Add concept

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
