The Verification & Validation Software Engineer is responsible for verifying that the software correctly implements the documented requirements and ensure that test standards, guidelines and DO-178 objectives are complied with.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs the following tasks under minimal supervision from the Test Lead: o Requirement Analysis o Test Strategy & Design o Test Development o Test Execution & Debug o Reviews ( Requirement & test) o Formal Testing (RFS & SC) o Certification Support o Support the Test Experts in deploying new initiatives - Tools, test methodologies etc • Provides verification deliverables, as per DO-178 / SW V&V CoE Process, to the Program Lead and North America CNS V&V Manager • Participates in audits • Performs Test Procedure Handbook Maintenance • Coordinates with the Pro-Tech group for Process / Technical improvements • The Advanced Software Engineer reports program issue to Program Lead(s) for the program(s) that they are working on. • Provides performance Metrics (EV ) to the North America CNS V&V Manager • Provides Improvement ideas / Opportunities to the Pro-Tech group/member • Provides mentoring to junior engineers • Interfaces with Program Lead, CNS V&V Manager, Test Expert, Development Team, Program Lead, Pro-Tech Group, various process improvement groups and Test Engineers I and II

YOU MUST HAVE

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related field • 5+ years experience in avionics software/systems/software verification.

WE VALUE

• Experience working in ADA coding • Technical skills with emphasis in the areas of software development and verification processes, certification, and DO-178 design assurance guidelines. • Understanding of software verification methods and tools currently in use as well as versed in industry standards and direction.
