The Chief Technology Officer Organization has a vision of setting high standards for technical excellence, talent, strategy, and norms across Technology. It also aims to encourage and cultivate technical innovation and enhance and highlight the organization's technical pulse.

This position works with the Program Director of Generative AI Enterprise Enablement. The successful candidate will act as strategic partner to the foundational delivery teams and requesting business and tech teams to enable Generative AI use cases for American Express at scale. This role works on the team responsible for ensuring end to end delivery and coordination across multiple technology partner teams such as Information Security, Cloud and Network Engineering and Enterprise Architecture and the use case technical and business teams ensuring timely delivery of Gen AI use cases within the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating effectively with delivery partners, building key relationships to identify and handle dependencies.

  • Developing and supervising key Use Case project tasks and achievements using your toolbox of techniques like teamwork and collaboration, planning, coordination and leadership.

  • Producing regular reporting demonstrating progress against key achievements for all delivery partners, outlining key risks and dependencies and plans for the next reporting period.

  • Navigate and understand a complex and constantly evolving technological space with an open mind, creative problem-solving skills, and a bias for early action.

  • Leads and appropriately brings up delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to enterprise enablement development initiatives

  • Track progress, contribute to design discussions, issue resolution and remove obstacles to ensure milestone commitments are met.

  • Being a motivated, high-performing change agent.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience in technical project management.

  • Ability to work with multi-functional, geographically dispersed teams on complex projects.

  • Experience managing Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions on that meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality

  • Ability to communicate effectively with third parties and technical and business teams

  • Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies.

  • PMI and/or Scrum Master Certification and Experience using Jira or Rally is a plus

Qualifications

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually bonus benefits
