Proactively reviews supplier capabilities, assesses operational gaps to identify risks and takes systematic actions to develop world class suppliers.

Is globally responsible for all supplier development, quality improvement and sustainment.

Works directly with sourcing, business, and engineering to develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve product quality and delivery.

The position requires breadth of experience across multiple programs and products working directly with suppliers and customers; influencing / working closely with the sourcing commodity leadership teams, Quality, NPD and Engineering. The successful candidate should be able to effectively communicate with senior management, have a big picture strategic mindset, handle multiple priorities, influence, and solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct management of supplier development engineers, project engineers, and transitions project managers.

  • Oversee the analytics for product line supply chain health across the entire bill of materials.

  • Develop rate readiness strategies for the Power Systems with specific focus on small APU.

  • Coordinate the assessment, governance, and operating system of current suppliers to detect constraints and surface new issues.

  • Implement rate readiness actions to resolve supply chain constraints and sustain product growth

  • Grow value stream supply chain capacity and deliver savings productivity by executing spot buys, supplier transitions, and dual sourcing.

  • Ensure compliance, substantiation requirements, budget and schedule for supplier transitions

  • Coach team and drive improvements utilizing Six Sigma, lean methodologies, supplier scorecards and leadership MOS.

  • Collaborate with other functional leaders to eliminate barriers and constraints.

  • Communicate progress, action plans, and escalation through multiple levels of the organization and customers.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8+ years combined of Supply Chain, Operations, Business management or Manufacturing Engineering experience

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Expert Certification

  • Experience on performing production readiness & rate readiness reviews / assessments

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Experience with project management and Kaizen facilitation.

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of leadership.

  • Proven problem-solving skills, including ability to interpret business performance and financial data, define actions, and implement solutions.
