The anticipated salary range for this role is between $58,000.00 and $80,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the VP, Deposit Operations, this position will support the insourced operational needs of the bank's deposit and money movement functions. The Analyst will support a broad range of operations and operational oversight functions for the team. In addition, the Analyst will provide support, as needed, to the VP, Deposit Operations in support of that business line

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers timely delivery of KPI and KRI’s for the team.

  • Assists AVPs with developing and maintaining the Risk Control Self-Assessment.

  • Executes all controls to mitigate risks and ensures compliance.

  • Ensures audit readiness.

  • Develops and maintains all procedures and user guides for the supported functions.

  • Becomes a Subject Matter Expert for the assigned functions.

  • Monitors SLA’s adherence.

  • Works Bank Operations support and escalation tickets.

  • Support Loan Operations as needed.

  • Performs User Acceptance Testing as needed.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree, or experience lieu of

  • Minimum four years’ experience in Bank Operations Middle or Back-Office type functions.

  • Accredited ACH Professional (“APP”) Certification; or

  • Accredited Payments Risk Professional (“APRP”) Certification; or

  • National Check Payments Certifications (“NCP”) Certification

  • Working knowledge of Banking Documentation, Bank Core Systems, Operations, and Money Movement.

  • Superb organizational skills and detail-oriented

  • Highly proficient PC skills including MS Excel and Word

  • Must be able to plan and monitor activities according to priorities and multi-task.

  • Ability to work independently within the scope of responsibilities for the position and complete assignments in a timely manner.

  • Familiarity with FIS core banking is helpful.

  • Knowledge of Risk Process and Risk Control Self-Assessment Process.
