Job Overview:

As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will be a key player in driving strategic initiatives and fostering continuous improvement within our organization. Your role involves gathering, interpreting, and leveraging complex data to generate actionable insights that enhance processes and optimize outcomes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments, ensuring effective communication and successful project implementation. This position demands a high level of business acumen, initiative, responsiveness, and accuracy. In this role, you will provide accounting, treasury, and risk management support for Leslie’s. You will execute daily cash management functions related to retail and e-commerce operations, assist in monitoring the company’s debt, and collaborate with multiple departments to provide accurate assumptions and forecasts that drive enterprise-wide projections.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and manage duties related to centralized cash management, including bank account administration, cash forecasting, and debt management.

  • Reconcile and report on the company’s daily cash position.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial models related to forecasting future cash needs, funding requirements, and debt compliance.

  • Aid in the preparation of the company’s monthly and quarterly debt compliance certificates.

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of outgoing company wire transfers.

  • Review monthly bank charges to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.

  • Manage treasury projects from inception to completion, collaborating with internal and external business partners.

  • Support month-end and quarter-end reporting processes.

  • Perform Sales Audit activities, including monitoring and analyzing system edits, discrepancies, customer liabilities, and cancellations. Research and resolve any out-of-balance situations.

  • Generate and analyze reports to support departmental compliance activities and data trending/analytic programs.

  • Develop and present recommendations and project improvement proposals.

  • Participate in training Sales Audit-related functions for customer service and retail locations.

  • Engage in special projects, including testing and validating system upgrades impacting the General Ledger (G/L), Point of Sale (POS), and banking systems.

  • Provide daily customer service to customers, stores, and credit card vendors regarding billing discrepancies.

  • Retrieve and process chargeback requests.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, document requirements, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Create detailed documentation such as business process diagrams, workflow charts, and system specifications to guide development and implementation efforts.

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication throughout project lifecycles.

  • Assess the feasibility of proposed solutions, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and evaluate potential impacts on business operations before implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales audit or similar experience in retail, Ecommerce/Omni-channel, or a multi-location industry preferred; public company experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of general treasury operations, including daily cash positioning and forecasting, bank account management, and payment processing (e.g., wires, checks, ACH).

  • Experience with automated treasury solutions, such as payment and bank reconciliation files, and invoice automation, is a plus.

  • Proven experience in independently managing key projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior personnel.

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and other banking and business software, experience with Dynamics 365 is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, exercising initiative and independent judgment.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights that support decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Capability to manage multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office suite products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to approach problems from multiple angles and think critically about solutions.

  • Strong focus on accuracy and detail in documenting requirements and processes.
