We are seeking an experiencedProgram Manager who has a proven track record of exceeding expectations, beating deadlines, and providing world-class service to high-level personnel. The ideal candidate will excel in quality control, problem resolution, communication, decision-making, and personnel supervision. Candidates must be prepared to substantiate their background and provide examples demonstrating these attributes.
Position Summary:
As aProgram Managersupporting theDepartment of Energy’s Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Region, you will oversee program tasks and deliverables, manage teams of 20 or more, and interact with industry executives, high-ranking government officials, and Tribal leaders. Your role includes implementing quality control measures, resolving complex problems, and providing administrative support across multiple departments. Candidates should demonstrate strong program management skills, practical business sense, and effective strategies to reduce personnel turnover.
Responsibilities may include:
Oversee and manage program tasks and deliverables for the Department of Energy.
Provide administrative support to multiple departments within the office.
Implement and maintain quality control measures.
Resolve complex problems efficiently and effectively.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders.
Make informed decisions to guide project outcomes.
Supervise and mentor personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
Develop strategies to prevent personnel turnover in high-turnover roles.
Travel to job sites as required.
Frequently interact with industry executives, high-ranking government officials, and Tribal leaders.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Program Management Professional (PMP) highly preferred
Strong background in quality control, problem resolution, communication, decision-making, and personnel supervision
5-7 Years experience in a Project/Program Management role
Understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations
OSHA 10, OSHA 30 Preferred
Experience managing teams of 20 or more
Driver’s License and clean driving record
