Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles.DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you are an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with specialized training and advanced clinical knowledge, providing comprehensive healthcare services across various settings. In this role, you assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic health conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals. Nurse Practitioners also focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. With a strong emphasis on patient-centered care, clinical expertise, and evidence-based practice, Nurse Practitioners play a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare and improving health outcomes for patients of all ages and backgrounds.

  • In collaboration with the physician/medical director, assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice. Including: taking patient's history, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and provide care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in the pediatric and adult patient.

  • The NP may assist in the admission, transfer or discharge from Health Care System.

  • Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies.

  • Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement program.

  • Works within multidisciplinary team to develop plan for the patient and their family.

Qualifications

Minimum:

Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners.

Three years clinical experience in healthcare.

Compact state or Arizona RN license,

Arizona Advance Practice Nurse license.

Valid DEA registration.

National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c) NP-ANCC, or d.) NP-PNCB.

Current American Heart Association Basic Lifer Support certification - Nat'l

Pay Range

$54.12 - $90.92 /hour
