Level Descriptions:
Level I – Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate, timely, in the correct manner (i.e. verbal, written, email, etc.)
Level II - Consistently achieves all of the objectives of this position. This individual also provides mentoring and direct day-to-day supervision to level 1 positions. The individual is involved in price negotiations and parts sales.
Senior - Highly experienced in the position. Involvement in other facets of material acquisition such as price negotiations, parts marketing, customer relationships, corporate accounting, etc.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Daily receipt of material via FedEx, UPS, etc. Properly administer receiving functions and accountability for material received and stored in the Warehouse.
Warehouse retention: security and liaison between project managers, technicians, and others. One point contact for all job and service related material.
Picking and pulling material for all projects, service, and inventory.
Keep the Bill of Material (BOM) up to date at all times.
Receive, store, and deliver all project material in a timely fashion.
Manage material loss on projects to zero devices from ordered and received.
Handle material returned due to excess or failure appropriately. This includes RMA functions for Climatec Phoenix and other branches as well.
Maintain inventory levels at correct min/max values. Consult and advice others as to what min/max levels should be.
Perform physical counts on inventories as determined by management. Manage inventory to zero dollar deviance between physical count and balance sheet value.
Provide customer parts consulting and part sales.
Support other Climatec location material needs appropriately based on local priorities vs. the other locations priorities. This could include travel to other Climatec locations to assist in material handling process development and adherence, physical inventory audits, etc
General facilities maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma.
Minimum 1 year experience in Warehouse Environment and/or Material Coordination.
Experience with basic computer programs such as WORD and EXCEL.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrable typing experience.
Ability to empathetically understand issues and perceptions and work through them to achieve successful outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical experience such as military training or on-the-job training programs (as determined by local management).
Prior experience with material handling, including purchasing, receiving, warehousing, shipping, and inventory control.
Mechanically inclined, with the ability to learn HVAC and Special Systems parts and concepts quickly.
Essential Job Functions:
Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.
Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business.
Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.
