Job Summary


Working under the direction of the Vice President, Military and Veteran Engagement, this position will support with management and coordination of TriWests regional efforts in the communities served in TriWests VA and DoD regions, related to corporate contributions, community outreach and engagement and TriWest staff volunteer opportunities tied to Veteran and military community support. The Manager must be able to build a working knowledge of TriWests operations, with particular focus on TriWests roles and responsibilities in support of federal contracts, including the internal procedures and operations of the company.

Education and Experience


Required:

High School Diploma or G.E.D Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Three or more years of event coordination and project management experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio) Preferred:

Bachelor's (BA/BS) Degree or equivalent experience Veteran, military spouse or survivor Experience with event/corporate outreach project management Experience with or knowledge of the VA and/or DoD Healthcare Systems and/or military community

Key Responsibilities


The Manager will maintain and update the TriWest corporate contribution calendar and ensure day to day processing, internal department coordination and tracking of the documents and materials required to meet various corporate contribution commitments, to include check requests, ad requests, materials and booth requests, table seating invitations and confirmations, event invitations and coordination and other similar coordination of TriWests roles. In coordination with the Vice President, the Manager will also be responsible for engagement with external non-profit organizations in building collaborative partnerships that help extend the support options TriWest is able to provide to its customers, while also coordinating the involvement of TriWest corporate volunteer activities by TriWest corporate and field staff, for events including Veterans Day parade participation and other community outreach opportunities. Additionally, the Manager will serve in a role of both coordinating TriWest staffing at regional/national events TriWest supports (like VSO national conventions) and attending to serve as a contact at some of these events.

The Manager must be able to build a working knowledge of TriWests operations, with particular focus on TriWests roles and responsibilities in support of federal contracts, including the internal procedures and operations of the company In coordination with the Vice President, Military and Veteran Engagement, manage the day to day administrative functions of the companys corporate contributions process and plan initiatives. Oversee daily processes relating to corporate contributions plan tracking, from initial identification of opportunities by senior TriWest leadership to back-end event recaps/assessments and all efforts in between. Manage work flow necessary to meet deadlines relating to corporate contribution commitments and esca ate to VP/leadership when support is needed. Build relationships with both internal and external parties to ensure plan and event goals are met, to include maintaining contact with event managers in similar roles at the organizations TriWest supports. Identify community outreach opportunities for TriWest staff and coordinates with corporate and field representatives to coordinate approved efforts. .:

Maintain and update documents, spreadsheets, agendas, invitations and presentations used in daily operations and for submission to TriWest senior leadership for review and use. Support VP with coordination of TriWest participation at local, regional and national events, to include VSO conventions, national Veteran sports clinics, Veteran stand downs and other similar TriWest-sponsored events. Prepare email invitations to internal TriWest staff (as well as external invitees) to be sent by manager or VP and send out confirmation emails once RSVPs received. Represent TriWest at select events on behalf of VP. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate creativity, flexibility and critical thinking skills. Demonstrate positive customer relations skills in dealing with internal and external parties. Interface with all levels of TriWest employees in a knowledgeable manner and maintains professional working relationships. Perform other duties as assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is required. Moderate work travel required as identified.
