Are you an experienced Line Cook looking for a new opportunity with great pay and paid time off? Look no further! Lookout Tavern is currently seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team.

Our modern social tavern in North Phoenix offers a large food menu, a huge center bar with 16+ beers on tap, and an impressive cocktail menu. With two patios, roll-up garage doors, and 50 HD TVs for premium sporting event viewing, we create a cohesive inside-outside experience. Plus, we have oversized jenga and other social bar games that add to the relaxed atmosphere. Responsibilities:

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

  • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions

  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food

  • Stock inventory appropriately

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook

  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old

  • Familiar with industry's best practices

  • Food handler's card may be required according to local and/or state regulations

  • Graduate of a culinary institute or formal on-the-job training preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required
