The University of Phoenix, Inc. seeks an Engineer III based in Phoenix, AZ to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL processes. Develop and maintain data infrastructure systems, including data warehouses and data lakes. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements, create mapping documents and data models. Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes. Design and develop computer software and install computer systems according to university technology standards. Design, develop, code, test, and debug new and existing software applications and installed hardware. Design systems and develop software related to the deployment of cloud services. Develop and administer computer systems, including security administration and maintenance. Develop applications to update and upgrade to existing computer systems as well as manage enhancements that increase the effectiveness of software the university. Document his work so that he and other developers can troubleshoot and build on existing code. Demonstrate software and hardware functionality to others to optimize the implementation of new and enhanced features. Work with university technical staff to understand and assess computer hardware and computer software needs. Develop, code, and test applications. He will troubleshoot and debug software applications that he and other engineers have developed. Review and suggest means to optimize and improve existing computer systems and software. Develop solutions to increase performance, bolster security, and fix issues for computer software, hardware, and cloud-based IT systems. Maintain and increase his professional and technical knowledge and currency by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. up to 5 days per week. Annual Salary:\$122,347/year - \$163,000/year.
