Position Overview:

AIT is seeking a Customer Service Agent to join our team! The Customer Service Agent must have the ability to troubleshoot and become first point of contact for AIT’s customers seeking help with timely delivery, establishing new relationships, managing and maintaining existing customer’s accounts and assessing customer’s needs translating into results oriented solutions.

This job during COIVD protocols is 50% in the office and 50% remote then will return 100% office-based

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day:

  • Manage new and existing customer accounts to assure accurate and timely delivery

  • Serve as a liaison between the sales team and customers to enhance service experience

  • Promote additional services to contribute to overall profit for the station and company.

  • Interact with various agents to set up quotes, routing and rates for domestic freight shipment

  • Monitor the shipment process and take immediate action to correct or solve issues that may occur

  • Suggest improvements in procedures that will increase efficiency reduce errors and better serve our customers

  • Built and maintain relationships with AIT’s customers on a first name basis

  • Other duties assigned as the business deems necessary

    Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • High School diploma required; Associates Degree or equivalent

  • 0-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or customer service/operations/supply chain/logistics industry

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft suites, AS400 is a plus!

  • Strong problem solving skills with ability to develop new ideas and innovative solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to time manage

  • Ability to work in an extreme fast-pace environment, high movement and pressure

  • Works well individually and team setting.
