Applicants must possess Maricopa County Food Handlers Card and have an excellent working knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements in a commercial kitchen. This includes the use of instant-read thermometers and filling out temperature logs throughout your shift.
Some cooking experience is a requirement for this position. Please be able to cook eggs and burgers to order to specified temperatures.
Its extremely important that applicant can be relied upon to show up on-time for the scheduled shift on a daily basis.This position starts early in the morning, but leaves your nights and weekends free.
This position will take orders directly from customers as they walk up to the cooking line, and prepare the food as they wait.
Good communication and organization skills are required along with a sense of urgency to ensure orders are prepared correctly and timely.
You will help the register-worker with customer service as needed, potentially including ringing up orders or assisting customers in the dining room.
You will help clean up after yourself and others in the kitchen, there is no dedicated dishwashing staff, though all food is served in disposable containers.
Must be able to stand or walk for entire shift, lifting, crouching, reaching, work in hot and cold environments and exercise caution working with hot, sharp or otherwise dangerous equipment on a daily basis.
This position reports to Kitchen manager or business owner and requires following directions and working well as a team with all areas of the operation.
Must be willing to cross train in other areas of operation in order to work well as a team- our team is friendly and we are not looking for someone with an ego.
Job responsibilities extend beyond general cooking and cleaning.
