WorkSource Oregon Software QA Analyst in PHILOMATH, Oregon

THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION LOCATED IN PHILOMATH, OR First responder experience (fire fighter, EMT, police) or having used Active911 is a plus. Title: Software QA Analyst Status: Exempt Reports to: Tech Lead Salary Range: \$45,000 - \$68,000 Mission: Advocates for the customer and ensures the best possible experience for the end user. Scorecard: - Spend 75% of available time on ticketed work. Competencies: - Familiar with the software development lifecycle. - Able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment. - Demonstrated aptitude and desire to learn new skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. - Strong analytical and debugging skills. Major Responsibilities and Duties: - Perform functional testing on all new features and fixed defects, validating what was asked for is what was delivered. - Perform manual regression and exploratory testing on releases in production. - Write or enhance test cases and test plans as required by software changes to ensure the thorough validation of critical workflows. - Maintains and extends automated testing for your product team. - Collaborate with all members of the product team to arrive at desired outcomes that solve product needs. - Identify application defects and create defect tickets for the Engineering Team that are easy to understand. - Interface with business stakeholders as needed when requirements are ambiguous. - Interface with software developers as needed to align on issues. - Have a constant focus on improving the quality of our software applications. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - 2+ years of relevant experience in a software testing role. - Understanding of and ability to perform repetitive manual test runs. - Experience with software development or a strong desire to learn. - Experience with TestRail or other software testing applications. - Experience with Jira or other software ticketing systems. - Experience with web and mobile application testing. - Ability to investigate, understand, and document complex software application issues. - Ability to communicate technically with software developers. - Familiar with agile methodology. - Exemplify Active911 core values: Disciplined, Scientific, Caring, Willing to Learn, and Innovative.
