Job Description
Duties:
Events
Assist the Office of Equity & Inclusion in managing events that promote the Office’s mission, ranging from meetings for our student leaders to larger events focused on training and/or promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. The Administrative Coordinator will take responsibility for the following:
- Manage logistical support for E&I programs and initiatives, including venue reservations, catering, RSVPs, travel for speakers, and event supplies.
Administrative Office Support
Provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Office of Equity & Inclusion. This role will involve a variety of tasks, including:
Scheduling meetings, internal deadlines, and tasks
Managing team calendars and the community space’s reservations.
Maintaining a well-organized and functional office environment by ordering supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring the cleanliness of the community space.
Streamlining administrative processes and implementing automated solutions to increase efficiency.
Collaborating with team members to identify and address their administrative needs, track program’s progress, and provide general support as needed.
Creating a simple office manual for the team and new hires explaining how our administrative processes work.
Preferred Qualifications & Essential Skills:
The ideal candidate will be an individual with strong interest and experience in working within diverse communities to promote equity and inclusion.
Competency in issues of social justice is required. Some of these issues include, but are not limited to: race, ethnicity, religion, culture, gender, sexuality, disability, class, intersectionality, and more. General knowledge of these topics is required, with expertise in some preferred.
Exceptional writing, critical thinking, organizational, and administrative skills are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Qualtrics, and Zoom.
We seek a fast learner, who demonstrates initiative, discretion, and can effectively manage a variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
