DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: JOB DESCRIPTION The Branch Manager reports directly to the Field Operations Manager, Global Casualty, and works closely with Regional Operations, Major Accounts Segment Leaders, and Chubb business leadership to successfully drive the overall performance of the Philadelphia Branch for Global Casualty.

Responsibilities The Branch Manager is responsible for all Global Casualty Risk Management underwriting, production, and customer service activities in the Mid-Atlantic Region and achieving branch business objectives related to: * Underwriting * New Business Development * Distribution Management * Client Retention * Account Rounding and Expansion * Customer Service * Branch Administration * Staffing

The Global Casualty Philadelphia Branch Manager is specifically accountable for: * Providing direction and leadership in driving consistent profit and growth in the region * Establishing a vision for future growth for the Mid-Atlantic Region, and working with all internal and external stakeholders to realize that vision. * Building, leading and executing strategic and tactical plans to cultivate producer relationships and maximize the development of targeted business. * Collaborating with Major Accounts Segment Leaders and Regional Operations to establish goals, develop plans, and evaluate the performance of Segment Leaders. * Ensuring that effective producer planning, prospecting and account rounding strategies and processes are in place. * Serving as the senior Chubb Global Casualty executive in the local marketplace. * Bringing the diverse elements of the organization together to meet the needs of our brokers and customers. * Presenting a unified, cohesive, and consistent Chubb storefront and brand to the marketplace. * Managing all underwriting and service personnel to accomplish internal and external objectives. * Providing leadership and direction for critical business functions, including: * planning and budgeting * expense management * recruitment, development and of retention staff * performance management and team building
