Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a diligent Staff Accountant in Philadelphia. This Staff Accountant role involves managing various accounting tasks, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. As a part of this role, you will be expected to maintain accurate financial records and perform all tasks related to financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Post manual journals in the general ledger, including GAAP adjustment
Execute accruals, deferrals, and reversals
Run batch jobs to transfer external system data into the general ledger
Carry out bank reconciliation processes
Record expenses, accruals, and bespoke adjustments based on input from Actuarial, FP& A, and other business partners
Requirements
The ideal Staff Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Staff Accountant position include and are not limited to:
3+ years experience in accounting or finance
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems preferred.
Proficient in Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software
Excellent support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills.
