Senior Power Systems Engineer - Protection Controls Automation - 76776

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: A day in the life: As a Power System Engineer you are recognized as a subject matter expert inside and outside of Schneider Electric. You will work directly with customers, business development managers, project developers, and others to develop and deliver solutions that align with the end users' goals. You will evaluate customers technical needs/objectives and deliver a solution that meets project specifications, scope of work, schedule, and budget.

Your typical day will be: General Activities  * Execute engineering work  * Provide technical consultation to customers building a trusted advisor relationship  * Develop and maintain a high technical and commercial competency for relevant offers  * Execute engineering work  * Develop proposals  * Draft and deliver technical reports  * Train and mentor others  * Lead troubleshooting activities  * Actively work with your manager on education, experience, and exposure plans for your development

PCA Activities  * Develop and maintain cross functional expertise with all elements of Schneider PCA offers  * Read, interpret, and modify electrical drawings  * Create and modify PLC and HMI programs for Automatic Throwover (ATO) Applications  * Develop/modify Sequence of Operations procedures  * Develop and implement solutions to solve power system issues  * Actively participate in the PCA Community of Practice

Basic Qualifications  * BSEE or MSEE  * 5 years' experience as an electrical engineer  * Experience with power systems or controls engineering including PLC's and HMI's  * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications  * Desire to grow/develop and a passion for customers

Technical Preferred Qualifications/Experience  * Switchgear power automation for gear  * ATO programming in PLC's or Protective Relays  * Protective Relay programming and commissioning  * Exposure to electrical maintenance and testing  * Ability to read and interpret power system studies  * Electrical distribution design  * Generator controls  * Ability to analyze and interpret engineering documents, codes and standards, and technical procedures  * Professional Engineer (PE) license

Soft Skills Preferred Qualifications  * Able to anticipate and communicate project risks and how to mitigate them  * Collaborative and influential communication style  * Ability to work remotely effectively  * Capability to work individually or with a team

or this STATE based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000 - $144,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
