Shift Options

-Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

  • Sunday - Tuesday with alternating Wednesday: 7:00am - 5:30pm

  • Sunday - Tuesday with alternating Wednesday 2:00pm - 2:30am

Job Description

Responsible for the manufacture of Master and Working Cell Banks and performing activities within production facilities to support the manufacture of Cell & Gene Therapy products, and final product fills according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture Master and Working Cell Banks.

  • Perform activities within production facilities to support the manufacture of Cell & Gene Therapy products.

  • Understand and apply aseptic technique concepts.

  • Identify unacceptable aseptic practices and make spot corrections.

  • Operate and maintain equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.

  • Prepare solutions and materials.

  • Participate in facility start-ups and technical transfer activities.

  • Assist with the execution of validation activities.

  • Receive and organize materials.

  • Perform material procurement activities.

  • Follow compliance and regulatory requirements and understand the rationale behind them.

  • Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Records (BRs).

  • Revise and author simple SOPs.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture.

  • Experience working within a Bio Safety Cabinet.

  • Proficiency in aseptic processing techniques.

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for a cGMP manufacturing facility.

  • Hands-on experience with protein purification and cell banking.

  • Knowledge of upstream and downstream cell production processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates’/Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field with over 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 0+ years of industry experience.

  • Basic technical knowledge and background in the industry.

  • Basic engineering and mechanical knowledge.

  • Basic facility start-up experience.

Work Environment

The role is based in a production environment with exposure to latex and bleach. You will be working in a production laboratory. Holiday and shift work are often required based on the manufacturing schedule as determined by Management. The company is growing rapidly, aiming to become the largest manufacturer of gene therapy products, with expanding construction in the commercial facility and a new site being built next door to the main facility. There are opportunities for rapid advancement based on performance rather than tenure.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00
