DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2, your role will involve overseeing and coordinating operations at state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. This includes supervising a shift, handling sales activities such as receiving shipments and stocking products, and ensuring excellent customer service in a clean and safe store environment. You will also be responsible for assigning and inspecting the work of liquor store employees, as well as providing guidance on policies and procedures. Assistant Managers support General Managers in overseeing the overall store operation, including sales, maintenance, accounting, record-keeping, and other related tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours vary from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Sunday - Saturday. Scheduled hours will be equal to 75 hours, bi-weekly. Salary:The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A; or Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; or Two years of lead retail sales work

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation.  An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.  Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
