Ballard Spahr LLP has an excellent opportunity for a legal administrative assistant with demonstrated technical and administrative skills to work in our Philadelphia office. The selected individual will support attorneys in the Media and Entertainment practice group by maintaining and processing case information, managing the progression of cases to final disposition, creating electronic files, preparing and processing correspondence, memoranda and complex legal documents, and performing other administrative functions.This position is hybrid and offers a work schedule of 3 days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). However, preference will be given to candidates open to working onsite Monday through Thursday.

Your Role:
As a Legal Administrative Assistant within our Media and Entertainment practice group, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing overall legal administrative support, including the preparation of documents for state and federal court filings, discovery requests and responses, letters, pleadings, and motions, and downloading and distributing court filings
E-filing in various state and federal courts, both trial and appellate.
New client intake, file maintenance utilizing the firm's electronic records management system.
Maintain schedules and calendars, make travel arrangements, and update contacts.
Work closely with attorneys and billing specialists on complex billing matters.
Other work as needed.

Required Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of legal administrative assistant experience and a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with e-filing, document management, and time and billing systems is a plus.
