Thomas Jefferson Univ Lead Dental Medical Assistant - Oral Maxillofacial Surgery - Center City Full-T in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 9309331 Primary Responsibilities Responsible for daily operation of surgery clinic. Supervising dental assistants and assign job duties as required for surgical operations in the Department. Maintaining updates records for Joint Commission inspections and all inspections for all accreditations. Ordering of all clinical supplies and implants. Assure attentiveness to constituents#39; needs and the provision of high quality service. Essential Functions Assign and oversee the duties of the surgical/dental assistants. Ensure consistently effective, efficient and timely processing of patients. Oversee the implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission, OSHA, ADA, as well as TJUH Safety, Infection Control and Quality Assurance. Maintain the smooth running of the Implant Surgery Suite by ordering supplies in advance, overseeing the stocking of the treatment rooms and instrument sterilization and tray setup. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital. High school diploma, Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant Program. BLS Certfication through American Heart Association required. Radiology Certification required. 5 years hands-onexperience in an Oral Surgery based office. Experienced in Excel and Microsoft Word applications. Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily. Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
