A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source. Position Summary Reporting to the Associate General Manager of Content & Programming, the Program Director is directly responsible for leading WRTI's jazz strategy in service to WRTI's mission to champion music as a vital cultural resource. This includes leading WRTI's jazz local music and DEI agendas both locally and nationally through content that both celebrates and cultivates diverse voices and Philadelphia Jazz arts and artists. The Program Director selects and programs all weekday jazz shifts and serves as the primary contact and relationship manager with WRTI's jazz constituents and partners. This position also directs the development of new jazz programs, programming, initiatives, and partnerships to improve listener service, generate revenue, and build the listening audience and host live and voice tracked programs. The Program Director is a leader in working with staff to develop and deliver engaging multi-platform content.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position includes potential interaction with minors. FBI Fingerprinting, Child Abuse and Criminal History clearances are required prior to start date. Required Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, communications, or directly related field. * At least six (6) years of experience in public media jazz music programming or equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position. * Demonstrated multi-platform music curation and audience building experience

Required Skills and Abilities * Demonstrated knowledge of public media on-air and programming best practices. * Demonstrated experience in successful public media on-air fundraising. * Skilled at listener-focused public media best practices. * Demonstrated skill with digital broadcast production equipment and techniques. * Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. *Strong knowledge of jazz periods, composers, major works, and artists. *Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. * Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in managing strategic priorities across multiple content channels and programs to meet deadlines and ROI goals. * Demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex issue resolutions including in crisis response situations to ensure continuity of service and mitigation of risk and disruption to operations. * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various personalities. * Experience working with partners to develop new content on multiple platforms. * Knowledge of Music Master, WideOrbit automation, Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and Windows. * Ability to work some weekend, evening and overnight travel (as needed).

Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities *Jazz hosting experience. *Supervisory experience. *Community engagement experience. *Philadelphia cultural arts industry experience. *Experience with Adobe Audition.
