The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Central Office, specifically previous experience working in Comcast Headend environments. The ideal candidate will have experience building equipment racks, cable racks, fiber protections systems. The ideal candidate will also have experience installing and performing the test & turn-up of new technologies such as NEXT-GEN ROADM and CRAN. Regional travel is required on a weekly basis, company Van/Truck provided to all Lead Level 4 technicians.
Responsibilities:
Receives and accounts for equipment/material necessary to do the job
Performs basic installation such as mounting of equipment, cable rack and fiber protection systems
Maintains Customer Quality Standards
Professional in appearance and performance
Qualifications:
Knowledge of basic hand tools
Ability to climb ladders and work in an over-head Central Office Environment
Ability to lift heavy tools, materials
Basic knowledge of computer skills
MUST have reliable transportation
Must be able to travel and stay in hotels working four 10 hour days
