Penn Medicine is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to join the Heart and Vascular ICU team at our main campus, The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) in Philadelphia, PA.

Position Details:

· 3 self-scheduled 13-hour shifts/week

· 36-bed closed unit

· Triage, admissions, and consultation of patients directed to the intensive care unit

· Actively co-manages critically ill patients including but not limited to ventilator management, ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pump, ventricular assist devices (VAD, right/left/biVAD), Impella, and other mechanical assistance devices as indicated. initiation of vasoactive medications, management of shock syndromes, acute myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, bleeding disorders, sepsis, postoperative patients, and other cardiac disorders

· Procedures: Arterial line insertion, central line placement, temporary dialysis catheter placement, pulmonary artery catheter placement pacer wire removal, chest tube removal

· Support from a full range of specialists

· System-wide EPIC EMR

Professional Skills:

· Graduate of accredited CRNP or PA program

· Ability to work autonomously

· 3-5 years of experience working within an inpatient or critical care setting

· Experience in airway management, central and arterial line cannulation, and ultrasound preferred

· Current ACLS certification

· Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care

· Team-oriented with ability to provide personalized patient care and demonstrate positive clinical outcomes
