Aerotek Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Will be responsible for all the service, repair, assembly and maintenance on all their Foundational Rigs and Equipment they rent out to their contractors.

  • Service Mechanic/Mechanic: May be asked to do any and all of the following.

  • Maintain and repair heavy diesel and gasoline operated construction and material handling equipment.

  • Diagnose all repairs with only minor assistance from supervisor on complicated cases.

  • Be able to completely disassemble and reassemble equipment replacing defective parts.

  • Also be able to completely tear down and rebuild engines, transmissions and other complicated power plats and power trains.

  • Will do road service calls as directed. Will be customer facing at times so they should maintain good customer-company relations.

  • Will operate locomotive cranes, overhead cranes, cherry pickers, derrick, tractor trailer (not highway) and do loading and unloading as required.

  • Service to diesel hammers, vibratory hammers

Typical day will include checking and repairing equipment prior to it going our for rent, and servicing and repairing equipment that has been returned. Will include preventative service and corrective repairs.
