External Description

This position's primary duty is food service to adult men, women or transgender Veterans in a transitional housing environment.  Our service populations are in the early stages of recovery from chemical and alcohol dependency, co-occurring disorders, serious mental illness, and homelessness.  The main role of a food service worker is to ensure that healthy meals are provided to all Veterans residing in the program.  You are also acting as direct support to the facility attendants, supportive service coordinators, program managers and program directors. Requirements

Successful candidates will meet or exceed the following: High school diploma with 3 years minimum experience in a direct care position, with food service experience. Prior experience in working with veterans is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft software (i.e. Word, Excel, Power point, and Outlook).
