Confidential Employer Elementary School Building Substitute Teacher in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania
Job Overview: To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in Elementary School classrooms, ranging from K-8th grade, that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement the lesson plan provided by the classroom teacher in his/her absence.
- Oversee students outside of the classroom including in the hallways and cafeteria.
- Comply with all school regulations and policies at all times.
- Implement all classroom procedures in the absence of the classroom teacher, such as, attendance, uniform violations, and lunch/breakfast distribution.
- Ensure classroom and work is kept clean and orderly.
- Compile a report for the teacher for when he/she returns.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal or his/her designee.
- Communicate with parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with other colleagues.
- Assist with arrivals and dismissal of students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
