ACE American Insurance Company Duck Creek Senior Software Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Duck Creek Senior Software Engineer (ACE American Insurance Company (Chubb)) (Philadelphia, PA): Leading end-to-end development and implementation of software within the Duck Creek Platform while working with globally distributed developer teams to deliver products; Utilizing deep knowledge of the Duck Creek platform and software design/architecture concepts to design, code, implement, test, and improve software components and functionality; Testing developed software to ensure that it is functioning correctly, as well as evaluating code/designs in the event of any issues identifying and correcting the root causes of issues within the software; Partnering with business architecture and enterprise architecture team to define optimum application and solution architecture to meet underwriting and policy administration platform needs, as well as translating stakeholder requirements into technical action items; Planning and taking steps to support software development team members' transition from an Iterative waterfall development model to an agile-based operating model as the structure for future software development work; Providing final software project deliverables within the allocated budget and partnering with finance to ensure appropriate accounting treatment of costs; Conducting the review and evaluation of developments within the Duck Creek Technology Product Roadmap, and major industry trends, including Digital Transformation, InsureTech, AI/Machine Learning, etc.; and Serving as an internal resource for software development/Duck Creek related topics, including providing technical and non-technical stakeholders with background and guidance regarding these topics. In order to complete the above-mentioned tasks, the following experience is required: Experience in Commercial lines platform/systems implementation of Duck Creek Policy; Experience on Duck Creek Policy Platform delivering insurance products and capabilities for multiple lines of business; Deep knowledge of commercial insurance products and operational processes; Experience in assessing internal and external data needs to meet underwriting guidelines; Experience in enabling agile transformation/implementation in medium to large projects/programs; Hands-on knowledge of Duck Creek Policy v6.x, Duck Creek Author, and SQL Server; Hands-on experience in technology stack such as Microsoft.Net, Java, ASP.NET, IIS, SQL Server, HTML, XML, CSS, and XSLT; Demonstrated ability to identify, understand and communicate business needs and complex technical concepts in simple, concise and crisp manner to technical and non-technical audiences; and Experience with written and verbal presentation to effectively communicate across all levels. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely-related field, and at least four (4) years of experience as a DuckCreek Software Engineer or related occupation. In the alternative, no degree and at least six (6) of experience in the above-mentioned occupation. Option to work partially from home is available. Itinerant Employment - Employee may be required to work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Incidental travel may be required to client's offices located throughout the U.S. Current worksite: 10 Exchange Place, Jersey City, NJ 07302.  Salary: $169,229/year.
