Custodial Supervisor
Summary of Objective:
PCI Pharma is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to join our Facilities leadership team and supervise the work activities performed by our janitorial staff in a 24/7 operations. PCI is your world leading CDMO providing integrated end-to-end drug development, manufacturing, and packaging solutions to increase product speed to market. The Custodial Supervisor responsibilities include but not limited to supervising janitorial staff, managing schedules, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies. The successful Custodial Supervisor candidate should demonstrate sound knowledge of various cleaning methods, excellent communication, and leadership skills to ensure best practices are implemented for cleanliness and hygiene in a manufacturing setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for supervising a team of 10+ permanent union janitorial staff and contractual staff across multiple shifts. Lead, train, and evaluate janitorial staff to high performance and adherence to company policies to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Maintain employee and contractor schedules to guarantee consistent 24/7 coverage and efficient operations for all cleaning areas. Address employee performance by implementing disciplinary measures in accordance with PCI policies. Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to employees. Oversee payroll processing for janitorial and contractual staff, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions. Ensure adherence of timely completion of assigned SOPs and other trainings for all janitorial PCI and contractual employees. Responsible for scheduling overtime work both daily and on the weekends and maintaining overtime sign-up sheets. Assign all routine and non-routine tasks to janitorial staff and regularly inspect their work across all three facilities to ensure that established standards are met. Manage janitorial supplies and equipment, including ordering, routine maintenance, and maintaining inventory levels. Maintain professional working relationships with PCI approved janitorial vendors to ensure the procurement of quality supplies and services. Responsible for the creation and updates to all janitorial cGMP documentation. Coordinate with facility management and other departments to optimize cleaning schedules with minimal disruption to operations. Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure cGMP housekeeping compliance. This position will require travel between PCI Red Lion Road facility and two (2) remote warehouses. This position may require overtime and/or weekend work. Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules. Attendance to work is an essential function of this position Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 5 years of custodial experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Demonstrated experience in leadership of employees and strong interpersonal skills experience in aspects of staffing to include interviewing, progressive discipline and performance evaluation.
Working knowledge of various cleaning methods, chemicals, and safety procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Basic Mathematical Skills
Proficiency in all MS Office applications.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms.
Ability to travel to remote warehouse sites up to 20% of the time.
Preferred:
Experience in a regulated environment, preferably in a CDMO, pharmaceutical, or biotech setting preferred.
Strong vendor relations.
Prior experience supervising union employees a plus.
Able to set and achieve challenging goals.
Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
