Job Description

Reporting to the Director (Leadership Learning & Development), the Associate Director for the Leadership Fellows Program is responsible for four major job functions as part of the Wharton Leadership Program:

(1) Manages operations, budgets, planning, and delivery for the William P. Lauder Leadership Fellows Program including essential PreTerm and co-curricular deliverables pertaining to FT MBA experiential learning of effective leadership behaviors and teamwork practices;

(2) Hires and supervises 48 Leadership Fellow per class year as well as indirect oversight of a Program Coordinator with matrixed responsibilities;

(3) Uses metrics, applies analysis and implements data-driven strategies to maintain program reputation and quality while also, at the direction of the Director, deploying LFs as core to dissemination of new School and McNulty Leadership content;

(4) Advises FT MBA students on leadership development planning, plays a key role in PreTerm planning and implementation, and surfaces MBA intelligence to senior leaders.

The Associate Director functions expertly in dynamic, team-based environment with rapidly-changing priorities and also collaborates with individuals at all levels of the organization. In addition, this position supports senior executives to work flexibly to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders. The Associate Director functions fully as a member of the McNulty Leadership Program team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years related experience, preferably in a university setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with key organizational stakeholders such as C-level executives, tenured university faculty, MBA students, and University leadership to create solutions meeting the needs of all parties.

  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team based environment. Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills required.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and Power Point, are needed and experience with Qualtrics and/or Salesforce is a plus.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting is required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
