Position Summary:
Lemon Perfect is seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager based in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area, who brings ambition, strong leadership qualities, and a desire to join a winning team. This position will report to the General Sales Manager, East. The main focus for this role is growing our presence and performance within retailers across the Delaware Valley.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in growing Lemon Perfect sales and visibility within your territory. Key responsibilities for the role include growing our in-store business by visiting accounts to build relationships, increase our cold presence, and secure incremental points of interruption under the roof of the retailer. The ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, outgoing, competitive, and eager to be a part of an exciting, fast-paced, innovative company that is disrupting the enhanced-water landscape
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Foster the development, sales, and promotion of the brand and build brand loyalty both regionally and at store level.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers at the store level.
Manage existing accounts and gain additional placements within stores, including secondary points of purchase and cold placement.
Communicate successes, competition trends, deals, product introductions, and opportunities via weekly sales recaps to your Manager.
Execute available monthly deals at store level to maximize brand potential and eliminate out-of-stock situations.
Identify locations that can benefit from in-store samplings/educations and facilitate with store manager/grocery manager
Execute P.O.S., cooler, and secondary placement opportunities using tools provided from your Manager.
Perform demos as needed.
Plan and prioritize weekly strategies to optimize field time, hitting roughly 8-13 accounts daily, closing voids, increasing shelf presence, merchandising, and taking reorders from store managers.
Log field data into Shelvspace, a SaaS tool we use in the field.
Ensure execution of new product launches, promotions, and secondary placements.
Effectively merchandise in-store with POS materials.
Wear and utilize branded gear (shirts, sweaters, hats) and keep cold product in your car or backpack for consumer sampling opportunities.
Provide weekly recaps and updates from the field.
May travel to support new openings or growth initiatives
Approximately 95% of your time will be spent in the field visiting accounts.
Analyze opportunities quickly; able to execute company goals efficiently
Resourcefulness to improvise and adapt to deal with daily challenges via creative problem solving.
Clean driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to use basic features in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Qualifications
Passionate about the brand, inspired by what we represent, and eager to make an impact by bringing more consumers into Lemon Perfect
Fascination for understanding customer behavior; willingness to relentlessly pursue the goal of better reaching and understanding our consumer
Enthusiastic and comfortable working in a start-up organization (think rapid growth/ever-changing environment)
2+ years of experience in sales (if you do not have this, please still apply!)
Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills and excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and presentation skills
Ability to take initiative and work autonomously–you can run with something from beginning to end
Works well with ambiguity–can navigate in the gray–and asks the right questions to get at the solution
