Comcast Cable Communications, LLC Architect 5, Software Architecture in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications; utilize HTML5 and CSS3 to define the structure of the web page and to enhance the layout and appearance of the webpage; use latest ECMAscript 6 features including Class, Promise, Modules, Generators, and arrow functions; use React for developing backend in Node.js; develop software using Agile methodologies; use JavaScript and Node.js server to create REST API Endpoints; write Web Services with Node.js including back-end services, Cross-Domain, Server-Side requests and multiple client communication; use Node.js, NPM, Grunt, Gulp, webpack and Bower in a Node environment; develop Node.js and Express.js to run script in sever-side and to develop the server-based applications and divert users to routes; use front-end development tools including Babel, Webpack, and NPM; use source code control systems including GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins; use GitHub to conduct modern distributed source code management; use TypeScript to add additional syntax to JavaScript; ensure programs are envisioned, designed, developed and implemented across the enterprise to meet business needs; interface with the enterprise architecture team and other functional areas to ensure that most efficient solution is designed to meet business needs; ensure solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable and delivered on schedule; develop, document, and ensure compliance with best practices including but not limited to coding standards, object-oriented design, platform and framework specific design concerns and human interface guidelines; monitor emerging technologies/technology practices for potential use within the Company; design and develop updated infrastructure in support of one or more business processes; mentor, review code and verify that object-oriented design best practices and coding and architectural guidelines are adhered to; contribute to the overall system implementation strategy for the enterprise; gather and understand client needs to find key areas where technology leverage is possible to improve business processes; define architectural approaches, develop technology proofs, and communicate technology direction; monitor the project lifecycle from intake through delivery; and ensure the entire solution design is complete and consistent. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience developing software using HTML5 and CSS3 to define the structure of the web page and to enhance the layout and appearance of the webpage; using latest ECMAscript 6 features including Class, Promise, Modules, Generators, and arrow functions; using React for developing backend in Node.js; developing software using Agile methodologies; using JavaScript; using Node.js server to create REST API Endpoints; writing Web Services with NodeJS including back end services, Cross-Domain, Server-Side requests and multiple client communication; using Node.js, NPM, Grunt, Gulp, webpack and Bower in a Node environment; and developing Node.js and Express.js to run script in server-side and to develop the server-based applications and divert users to routes; of which five (5) years of experience include using front-end development tools including Babel, Webpack, and NPM; using source code control systems including GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins; using GitHub to conduct modern distributed source code management; and using TypeScript to add additional syntax to JavaScript.*
