Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP Application Systems Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R3060 Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire an Applications System Engineer reporting to the Manager of Application Services. The Applications System Engineer supports the integration, deployment, and maintenance of the enterprise document management system and supporting applications.

Morgan Lewis recognizes the benefits of supporting flexible working arrangements. This position will be resident in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid working schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

Provides end user support and troubleshoots complex problems for all aspects of hardware and software pertaining to the document management system and supporting tools; to include integrations with Active Directory / ADFS, SQL server, Walls and Milan.

Contributes to project planning and scheduling.

Formulates and defines application scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop and/or modify the document management system.

Uses software engineering and analytical skills to assist in the design, development and execution of specifications.

Identifies and resolves configuration, installation, and application compatibility issues.

Deep understanding of security controls including multi-factor authentication, anti-virus scanning, threat analysis, walls and information protection.

Quickly and accurately responds to L3 support requests including but not limited to archiving, deleting, bugs and enhancements

Validates and conducts routine patching cycles.

Conducts research, learns and proposes new technology solutions related to firm and business needs.

Engages with partners and internal clients to solve, deliver, or address business needs.

Works in a team environment and consistently delivers above expectations.

Ability to effectively communicate and set expectations.

Performs other related responsibilities as assigned.

Experience and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university,

3-5 years of experience of supporting enterprise applications and document management system support experience.

Self-starter with good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Customer service skills

Project management skills

3-5 year of SQL experience

3-5 year of RESTful or SOAP web services

Experience resolving and working through escalated and complex issues

Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design to testing, implementation, patching and production support

Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands

Ability to read and interpret general business documents, instructions and manuals, write routine business correspondence, and speak effectively with employees, clients, and vendors.

Ability to solve practical problems, dealing with a variety of variables where little standardization exists.

Software experience with Microsoft Windows OS; iManage 10.x, DeskSite; intapp Walls; iRM; KwikTag; CAM
