Thomas Jefferson Univ Administrative Assistant, Neurosurgery (FT, Days) - Jefferson Center City in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 9301997 Administrative assistant for Neurosurgeons, to make their patient appointments, maintain a current and accurate calendar for their daily routine. Work with the electronic medical system for any task assigned to the team. Other duties as assigned according to the daily needs of the physician and practice. Answer any/all calls that are received for new patient appointments. Make sure all the necessary reports are received in the office. Forward all reports to the physician for review. Once reports are reviewed and the physician clears the patient for an appointment, schedule the appointment with the patient through the IDX system. Mail out a new patient package to patient for completion with all the practice information detailed. Work the electronic medical records system, answer all task as assigned to your team. Forward any calls not able to answer to nursing or physicians. Answer any emergency calls that come into the office for their physician from the emergency line. Take any necessary messages when the physician is not available. Make sure they are delivered via any means necessary, email, cell phone or electronic medical record. Telephone, computer, fax and copy machine and IDX System Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
