Aston Carter Accounts Payable Clerk in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania


The A/P Clerk position is accountable for obtaining and verifying proper payment approval, processing payments in a timely manner, and prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast paced environment. Proficient with MS Excel, Oracle experience desired. The A/P Clerk is a team player that is pleasant to interface with and works well with others including handling vendor correspondence via phone or email, ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with coworkers, and respond to intercompany requests for information. The A/P Clerk will maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy. Ability to be self-motivated as well as excellent organization skills and attention to detail are a must. Responsibilities include (for two separate legal entities, GAM USA and GAM Resources, Australia): 1. Match supplier invoices to authorizing purchase orders and proofs of receipt 2. Vouch 800-900 supplier invoices per month 3. Resolve discrepancies between vendor invoices, purchase order and receiving records 4. Take all economical supplier discounts 5. Review sales tax treatment, and self-assess sales tax when appropriate 6. Obtain payment approvals for invoices which do not require a PO 7. Research supplier requests for payment and reconcile supplier statements to A/P sub-ledger 8. Audit and process expense reports 9. Issue payments including checks, ACH, and domestic/international wires 10. Reconcile un-vouched receipts and resolve items > 90 days 11. Provide updates to the supplier master file 12. Special projects as assigned
