Job Summary: We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Sales Operations Sr. Project Manager for Generac’s Consumer Power business unit. The role is key in leading & implementing the strategic projects for a sales channel, defining consistent sales processes and performance reporting. An ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in project management, operational excellence and leading complex, cross-functional projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sr. Sales Ops Leaders, Sales teams, Analytics teams, & cross-functional partners to lead initiatives for growth and operational improvements within a sales channel.

  • Translate business initiatives into actionable objectives for Sales by developing, coordinating, and implementing a plan then measuring the overall impact and success.

  • Communicate regularly with team members to ensure that all pieces are on task

  • Manage & execute overall project timelines with the ability to report out to senior leadership on project progress & risks

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline business processes, drive efficiencies, and ultimately contribute to revenue growth.

  • Partner with sales users to document current state sales processes, define future state collaboratively & implement across the sales channel

  • Support sales continuous improvement intake processes – gathering & prioritizing ideas to drive revenue or optimize sales’ time in areas including process, tools, technologies, and reporting.

  • Coordinate and facilitate strategic planning sessions and sales meetings to ensure focus on key business priorities.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams on sales channel initiatives, impacting systems, reporting, policies, and process improvements.

  • Identifies project issues and identifies solutions to meet project goals

  • Proactively communicates project status, issues and risks to leadership

  • Lead and execute key pilot projects for sales allowing us to test and learn quickly with a goal towards scaling across channels.

  • Assist with maintaining performance reporting, understanding & prioritizing requests, and provide training to sales team as needed.

  • Provide timely sales analytics to sales reps and managers, including pipeline analysis and sales results.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 7 years of experience in sales operations, business strategy, project management or a similar role within a large, complex organization.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or other process improvement methodologies

  • PMP Certification is a plus

  • Experience partnering with and influencing Sales Leaders

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • A strong desire to execute, drive impact, and demonstrate urgency with projects big and small.

  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and the ability to communicate findings cross-functionally to drive action planning and execution.

  • Skill at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness

  • Demonstrated experience in handling sales performance reporting and strategic planning.

  • Proficiency in using CRM and data analysis tools.

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
