Power Plant Services Manual Machinist Trainee in Pevely, Missouri

Role Overview:

  • Receive hands-on training and guidance in learning various manual machines.

  • Key objective is to learn to manage multiple parts repair assignments to meet urgent customer needs.

  • Use your mechanical talents in learning to prepare, set up and operate various machines.

  • Learn to read parts specifications to ensure precise and accurate work output.

  • Inspect and prepare finished parts for customer delivery in accordance with shop standards.

  • Demonstrate best-in-class safety practices in all machine operations and activities.

  • Assist teammates with challenging jobs to support a collaborative, team-first environment.

  • Large Lathes

  • VTLs

  • CNC machines

    Success Criteria:

  • Successful track record in a hands-on industrial role utilizing your welding or mechanical talents.

  • Direct experience with lathes, VTLs and/or CNC machines is a definite plus.

  • Competency in reading product specifications and blueprints would be advantageous.

  • Willingness to work demanding work schedules to include six days per week and up to 12 hours per day during our high production periods.

  • Ability to lift parts that weigh in the range of 35-50 lbs.

  • Standing, lifting, walking throughout the plant operations for extended shift periods to perform essential functions of the role.
