Our Finance Teams: Our Finance team has a large part to play in the success of our business. We are based across a few locations, but operate as one team, and work together to create a positive, productive and highly efficient finance department within News UK.
Role Objectives
Performing Payroll sign off’s (approx. 13 per month)
Preparation of monthly dashboards for Shared Services
Preparation of monthly reporting across Shared Services
Preparation of Payment Terms reporting for review by the Head of Finance Shared Services
Shared Service journal and Miscellaneous payment approvals
Review and approval of Accounts Payable/Contributor Payment Proposals
Preparation of Cashflow Target documentation for Treasury
Proactive monitoring and management of DPO/DSO across Shared Services. Investigating root causes of any issues and highlighting to the Head of Finance Shared Services.
Regular review of the aged creditors/debtors and blocked documents reports highlighting areas of concern to the relevant business stakeholder
Performance of pre-billing checks for Wholesalers
Review and sign off:
End of Day Print figures
Vouchers
Weekly Wholesale Billing
Weekly Colour and Supplements print figures
Day of Issue Supply reconciliation (chargeables reporting)
Pre Billing Amendment and Pricing Reports
3rd Party End of Day Supply Levels
Promotional Activities
Ad Hoc Credits and Debits
Waste
Escalation of BAU issues
Mailbox Supervision
Team Support
Technical Issues Support

This role is a fixed term contract, advertised for 9 or 10 months, depending on the start date.
