VP, Branch Manager

Job Description:

Summary:

Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a branch location as well as the front-end sales management and new accounts function. Provides leadership and guidance to ensure conformance with bank policies. Supervises the activities of branch personnel including tellers and financial services representatives. Ensures that customer service is provided, including opening accounts, providing customers with information, and resolving banking concerns for clients. Participates in business development activities; develops and services accounts. Manages branch personnel issues including resolving problems, hiring, scheduling, rating performance, discipline and recommending salary actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of day-to-day operation of retail/consumer products and services area.

  • Direct activities of branch associates to ensure complete and efficient customer service.

  • Implement company policy pertaining to the cashing of checks and withdrawal of funds from accounts and safe deposit activities.

  • Handles unusual or difficult customer concerns.

  • Coordinates recruitment and training of branch staff.

  • Coordinates activities/procedures in conjunction with central support unit.

  • Responsible for overall operation and maintenance of bank building, premises and facilities.

  • Reviews, recommends, implements and oversees all policies and procedures related to the internal and external integrity of the bank security systems.

  • On daily basis ensures effective operation and maintenance of the bank security equipment and devices.

  • Accepts and complete projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer service and strong organizations skills with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Sales management skills in order to successfully coach associates to meet branch goals.

  • Sales and marketing orientation with emphasis on cross-selling bank services.

  • Thorough knowledge of bank operations, policies, procedures, compliance, and banking regulations.

  • Team oriented, possesses a positive attitude and works well with others.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of all various types of products offered at the bank.

  • Excellent problem solving skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of branch staff

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of three to five years banking experience required.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Computer and Software Skills:

  • Skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
