Fire Protection Services, LLC Sales Support Specialist in Perry, Georgia

Fire Protection Services’ primary focus is the recurring inspections, testing, and maintenance of commercial businesses' fire and life safety equipment. As the Sales Support Specialist, your main responsibility is to support the Sales Team. You will communicate and work closely with Customers, our Sales Reps, and all FPS Team members to provide excellent customer service and keep our Sales Team operating efficiently.  

You must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as your role will require you to be firm and flexible at the same time. You must be able to work with individuals at all levels of an organization. You must support the strategy and core values of Fire Protection Services. The ability to work independently while also serving as a dependable member of the Team is a must. FPS uses the following tools to effectively communicate internally and externally with Customers.  

  • Telephone

  • Email

  • Slack 

  • Building Reports

  • ServiceTrade

  • Hubspot

  • Front

  • Vonage Texting 

    Your responsibilities and performance measurables include but are not limited to the following: 

    You will be working closely with the Sales Team to support their efforts while also finding ways to increase our revenue. Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Answering customer inquiries, scheduling appointments, and following up with customers about their service needs. 

  • Reaching daily goals of outbound sales activities, calls, emails, appointment setting, proposals, and general prospecting activities

  • Compiling a daily list of sales leads, delegating leads, and providing data to the Sales Team. 

  • Developing and monitoring performance indicators, managing sales tracking tools, and compiling reports.

  • Managing customer accounts, following up with customers, and providing troubleshooting assistance for customer-related issues  Seeing through the repairs portion of our business. 

  • Performing data entry tasks for sales figures, metrics, and other relevant information and maintaining an organized and accessible database. 

  • Customer visits and outside sales responsibilities and tasks based on Outside Rep needs

    General Responsibilities

  • Support FPS in achieving its stated organizational goals

  • Provide phone support

  • Answer calls when others can not

  • Answer the questions you can

  • Record the caller’s name, number, and questions/issues and deliver the information to the person who can address the caller’s concerns/needs

  • Make sure someone follows up with the caller within one business day

  • Complete any other tasks or projects assigned by the Management team

  • Follow all existing and future FPS policies, including but not limited to:

  • Adhering to your agreed-upon work schedule and hours

  • Submitting all PTO requests promptly through the appropriate channels

  • Submitting all expenses on time through the appropriate channels

  • Presenting a professional appearance by dressing in business casual attire

  • Attending and participating in Customer Service/Sales, Staff, and any other required Meetings

    As the Sales Support Specialist for FPS, you must be able to work with other members of the FPS Team and collaborate on solutions that fit our Customers’ needs as well as FPS’ mission. You should display a positive attitude and be uplifting in your communication style ... a “can do” approach will allow you to be successful in your job. At any time, we may ask that you extend your knowledge and be willing to help train and support your associates whenever they may need your assistance.
