Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Perkasie, Pennsylvania

Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Perkasie, Pennsylvania area. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the financial close process, performing account reconciliations, and overseeing the accounts receivable process within a rapidly expanding contracting business.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Coordinate the financial closing process to ensure timely and accurate reports

• Perform bank and account reconciliations for accurate financial reporting and ledger maintenance

• Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoice creation, collections, and revenue recognition

• Participate in the software transition process from QuickBooks to NetSuite

• Prepare accurate financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews and audits

• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes

• Serve as a key technical resource providing accounting treatment guidance on complex business transactions

• Participate in continuous process improvements initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Use skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Accounts Receivable (AR) to perform tasks effectively.

Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close is necessary

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is preferred

• Must have experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory

• Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
