EFE Laboratories, Inc. Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Perkasie, Pennsylvania

EFE Laboratories, Inc. has served the Tri-State region for more than 50 years.  The company was founded to provide quality-conscious electronic contract manufacturing services to the industrial marketplace; it continues to drive this quality charter and has achieved ISO-9001:2008 certification.  EFE operates out of a 35,000 square foot facility located in Perkasie, Pennsylvania.  The company services customers in a range of industries, including automotive components, avionic devices, medical systems, optical systems, semiconductor manufacturing, and more.

EFE is currently looking for candidates to fill the open position of Electro-Mechanical Assembler to handle Panel Builds/Box Builds -- Looking for a candidate that enjoys the challenge of being exposed to many different types of electro-mechanical assemblies including control panels, industrial enclosure builds, and small box wired assemblies. Candidate is a motivated self-starter who can think outside of the box and use common sense to make good decisions.

Preferred Skill Set:

  • Must have solid skills in in all aspects of wiring, crimping, wire harnessing, and layout of multi-component systems.
  • Has knowledge and proficiency with hand tools (crimpers/strippers etc.)
  • Should have hand soldering skills for small PCB based assemblies.
  • Has the ability to understand basic schematics and assembly documentation including blueprints, drawings, bills of material, work order travelers, and work instructions.
  • Ability to use measurement tools effectively (calipers, scales, rulers).
  • Understanding of basic ESD (electro-static discharge) handling requirements.
  • Works well with others in a team environment to get projects accomplished.
  • Focus on efficient but high quality work is a must.
  • Experience from automotive/aerospace/medical device industries in the manufacture of mechanical assemblies is a plus.
  • Experience with basic machining equipment is preferred.  Candidates that have this experience should know safety guidelines/storage and retrieval of tooling, ability to layout enclosures from drawings, have solid measurement skills, setup and breakdown of punch presses, Bridgeport Milling machines, jet lathe, horizontal and vertical band saws, jigsaws, media blasters and drill presses.  CNC programming skills operating and programming skills are a plus.
  • IPC 610/620/JSTD or equivalent certifications are preferred.
  • Understanding of ISO/AS9100 processes and the development of work instructions in a Lean Manufacturing context is desirable.

This is a full time position.  Work hours are 7AM-3:30PM M-F.
