Description
We are seeking a Jr Systems Administrator to play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective operation of the organization's technology infrastructure. This position requires a strong understanding of computer systems, basic networking, and software applications, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and assistance to staff across the organization.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network components.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Upgrade and maintain operating systems and software modules.
Develop and implement procedures for information system operations.
Collaborate with public safety and municipal staff to ensure effective use of technology.
Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical staff.
Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and developments.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3 years of experience in information management services and network administration.
Comprehensive knowledge of computer operating systems and software applications.
Strong understanding of computer networking concepts and technologies.
Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V), telecom systems, VoIP,.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with non-technical staff.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Customer service-oriented approach.
