Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in Pentagon, Virginia
Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE NAVY (ENERGY, INSTALLATIONS AND ENVIRONMENT) (ASN EI&E). Responsibilities You will provide advice and counsel on a range of administrative and management support issues, policies, programs, and objectives. You will serve as the records management liaison maintaining and informing Department of regional policies and requirements; brief senior staff; and recommend methods for implementation and enforcement requirements. You will ensure all purchase requisitions are updates and services are reconciled correctly in accordance with law, regulations and policy standards. You will provide administrative support and office services for the DASN that involves supply and property management, mail and file services, travel, records and reports, equipment maintenance, vehicle management, and related services. You will respond to routine and non-technical requests for information, such as status reports, suspense dates, and similar information readily available from files. You will use computer programs to thoroughly proofread documents and ensure proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, use of acronyms, and format are used. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing a wide variety of administrative management and administrative support services (i.e. arranging travel, management analysis, logistic services and supply request, maintaining records, property and records management, human resources management, space and equipment utilization, proofreading correspondence, responding to information requests), Providing guidance, advice, counsel and administrative services directly for high level officials/management, Requisitioning, purchasing, storing, and issuing office supplies and such administrative equipment such as desks, office machines and filing equipment, Maintaining account records and purchase and receipt files.
