RQ Construction, LLC Electrician Helper in Pensacola, Florida

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national and international presence spanning coast to coast, including U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and now, Puerto Rico. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

We are seeking qualified Electrician Helpers tojoin our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects based at NAS Pensacola, FL.This position is primarily responsible for helping the electricians by performing duties requiring less skill. However, this position may also assist other craft workers in their duties, operateequipment, while also cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, setting braces for support,erecting scaffolding, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing other non-hazardous wastematerials. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the requiredsafety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Pay $16-20PH, DOE Prevailing Wage

Compensation is based on specific project locationAND WILL FOLLOW DAVIS BACON PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS, WHICH VARY FROM MILITARY BASE TO MILITARY BASE.Eligible for overtime.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position. Should be supplemented by completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on-the-job work.
  • Two or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as an Electrician Assistant or Apprentice in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required; Specific training or certificates in the following preferred: o Trenching and shoring training o Fall protection training o Confined space training o Forklift/Manlift training and certificate o Power actuated tools training and certificate o Lockout/Tagout training o Hot work training o Scissor lift/boom lift certificate o EM-385
  • Ability to provide the tools (preferred, not required), including, but not limited to knife, pliers/linemen, screwdrivers, nut drivers, key hole saw, hacksaw, hammer, level (small 12"), channel locks 2, needle nose pliers/long nose pliers, voltage meter/tester, tool pouch/belt for electrical, diagonal pliers, Allen wrenches/stranded/metric, taps (6/32, 8/32, 10/24), wire strippers, socket set, tape measure (at least 25 ft.), side cutters, flashlight, cordless drill/impact drill, wrench set, crescent wrench.
