Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Identify, develop project plans and execute on strategic projects
Collaborate and drive on time delivery for identified projects
Leverage system and technical knowledge to drive high impact results to the business
Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline; Serves as best practice/quality resource; Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area; Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility
Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of other functions and interfaces
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering; Takes new perspective on existing solutions; Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations; Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus; Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field
Co-sponsor and technical support for manufacturing retrofit projects
Support site CAPEX strategy and deployment
Manufacturing system design with a lean mindset
In-depth knowledge of lean concepts and practices with the factory (yamazumi, level loading, TAKT, flow, 5S)
Knowledge of how tooling, moving lines, and processes are impacted by NPI. Guides product development with this understanding
Key decision maker on make vs. buy on new products
Experience with tooling/infrastructure capability analysis for large manufacturing operations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience)
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
Desired Characteristics
Master’s degree in engineering

Established project management skills
Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, or similar CAD software
Experience with product family ownership

Experience reading and interpreting engineering specifications and drawings
Demonstrated leader and respectful team player
Hands-on experience with implementing projects and sustaining process improvements

The salary range for this position is $103,100.00- $171,800.00 US Dollar Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this role has variable compensation incentive of 10%.
