Job Overview

The Global Program Management Leader (Sr Manager Program Management) will be responsible for the ownership of the major Project Initiatives portfolio. They will provide structure for setting targets, objectives, and program deployment across global, regional, and cross-functional teams. This will include deployment, standard work, enabling tools, documentation, cadence of reviews, reporting, program metrics, and countermeasures.

The Global PM Leader will assist the organization in project prioritization and resource management while effectively communicating program status, anticipating and escalating program issues, and proposing solutions to meet project goals. The role best suits a candidate who is highly organized, articulate, hands-on, and comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization. They should be able to manage conflict, influence across the organization, remove obstacles, drive progress, and maintain accountability.

This leader will act as a player-coach for the PM team and active program leaders, helping to build and manage PM process, standard work, and methodology for engagement with cross-functional teams.

Program Management:

• Lead the program management of a portfolio of strategic initiatives to provide visibility, drive prioritization, maximize impact value and ensure delivery of expected results.

• Coordinate closely with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams to establish, align, and execute against project plans (including goals, scope, deliverables, and schedule) to drive impact against strategic business objectives.

• Embed structure, cadence, and support to ensure execution of programs within scope, time, and resource allocation.

• Lead program status updates to management relating to milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule)

• Evaluate and manage resource capacity, usage, and constraints across the portfolio of strategic initiatives to ensure organization is appropriately resourced to deliver against project commitments

Project Management Coaching & Support:

• Establish strong project planning discipline, ensuring rigorous front-end planning, ongoing progress monitoring, and effective execution and milestone delivery

• Create project schedule, identify critical path, and maintain throughout execution.

• Work with the project teams to define, assess and mitigate risks that have a major impact on project cost, schedule, investment, and technology, and facilitate escalation and resolution when needed

• Develop and lead a team of project managers, assuring proper assignment and execution of activities, programs and projects

• Coach and support project management skill building both within the PMO and across the Channel organization

• Encourage change management discipline by embedding change management principles into project execution plans

Establish PMO standards & build capability within the channel organization:

• Determine, launch and maintain the needed digital program management tools to support the organization

• Drive consistency and excellence in scoping, development, and execution of initiatives.

• Work with stakeholders across the enterprise to identify, share, and implement learnings & best practices to continuously improve the function and effectiveness of the PMO

• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary functions within the organization to maintain and track multiple parallel projects to plan.

What your background should look like:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing global, complex, technical projects

• Direct experience leading large scale, cross-functionally highly complex projects/programs successfully

• Excellent knowledge of Project Management methodology - planning, monitoring, controlling and governance of a program

• Bachelor’s degree required, Masters or MBA preferred

• PMP certification and Change management certification a plus

• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Agile Digital deployment a plus

• Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable operating and communicating with very senior levels of the organization.

• Collaborative and able to influence decisions with both internal and external stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $153,800 – $230,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
