We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic Vehicle Software Team. The Opportunity ... As a Software test engineer at JBT, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications, both on PC and on our vehicles. You will work closely with the development team to design and execute test plans, identify and report defects, and contribute to the overall improvement of our software development processes. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in setting up and maintaining the test environment, both on PC and on the vehicles. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design test plans. Develop and execute test cases to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications on PC and vehicles. Set up and maintain the test environment, including PC-based testing tools and vehicle-specific testing equipment. Identify and document software defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve them. Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases on both PC and vehicles. Perform exploratory testing to uncover any hidden issues or potential areas of improvement. Participate in the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools for both PC and vehicle testing. Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure a thorough understanding of software features and functionality. Document and communicate test results and provide recommendations for improvements. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Software Test Engineer, Software QA Engineer, or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in designing and executing test plans and test cases on both PC and vehicles. Ability to set up and maintain the test environment, including PC-based testing tools and vehicle-specific testing equipment. Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems. Proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify software defects. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
